Opodo: Book cheap flights App Reviews

Having found a well priced flight on the Italian Opodo site, we were forced to install the app to make the purchase. As my iPad is set to English, the app was installed in English and (unknowingly) defaulted to pounds as the currency. In the end, the price I had to pay was in pounds and over 100 euros more expensive on a 156 euro flight! We were informed that this is the Opodo UK service fee. Never again, this app is not well done and confusing for those who are not tech savvy. Just buy directly from the airlines.

This works well And seems to deliver decent prices.

They promise 10 euro discount they wont actually give you: the price you pay will finally be the same as on the website. Nice try.

Really cheaper flights than other companies

I used very hard earned money to purchase 2 tickets for daughters graduation. I received NO confirmation number, nothing !! Phone number listed wasnt valid. I emailed them numerous times only to receive a generic response with no information about my trip or examination of reason for why my total cost increased by $300.00. They emailed me with an explanation a month after I took my trip. I had to contact airline to get information about flight. I had my bank start investigating this bogus company. They are out of Paris France, rarely do what they say they will do,you will rarely be able to reach them and never get what you paid for!!! BEWARE!!

This is the worst system ever, doesnt even let you add trips you booked with opodo!! Much less make any changes. No wonder the share price is so low.

In my experience this app is really dangerous. I booked a quite important flight with the app, everything went smoothly, the interface is really nice and the results showed are consistent. However after I put my credit card info, I got the message "your flight is not confirmed because we are processing the credit card info, wait the confirmation email". Well thats ok. After many hours I didnt get any email, but te flight was appearing under "my flight" in the app, therefore I was really confused. I tried to contacted them but it didnt work by phone (too late) and I dropped them an email since I didnt have choice. Finally, I was very scared to dont have a flight, I hD to book it with another application much more reliable, but that flight was already full, therefore I had to pay almost the double for a new ticket. After 12h of my email, they wrote me an automatic message saying that the flight was not conformed. Thats unbelievable, I lost a very good flight for their fault, I dont see why they cannot tell you immediately if the money have been taken a and the ticket has been confirmed. Ill never use this app again, and Ill never use Opodo either.

Buggy software. I tried to find Frankfurt, which is a pretty big airport. A search for FRA or Frankfurt returned no results. The same problem on their mobile website at the moment. I tried using wifi and mobile Internet. Buggy software, buggy search engine on their website.

20 times tried again and again, getting same error message after filling all order forms: "cannot continue, new search or repeat search". Seems that app wasnt orderly tested.
